Having contested his only race start to date in impressive fashion, Giuliani has claimed outright favouritism in betting markets for the 2014 Skyline Stakes at a quote of $2.60, ahead of Gold Force ($3.80), Valentia ($4.20) and Time For War ($6.50).

Will Gai walk away from Royal Randwick on Saturday with another Group 2 title, or will one of the six other contestants claim the event for two-year-old colts and geldings?

Gold Force ($3.80)

Having also contested just one competitive race so far, exciting Team Hawkes-trained gelding Gold Force was impressive when claiming the Inglis Premier (1200m) by nearly three lengths ahead of a talented field on February 12th. Having claimed the ideal barrier 3 for the 2014 Skyline Stakes, punters have so-far rated the talented son of Flying Spur as the best chance of success this weekend, cutting Gold Force in from opening odds of $4.40 to currently register as the clear market mover at $3.80.

Giuliani ($2.60)

Giuliani was unlucky to finish second behind classy two-year-old and leading Golden Slipper chance Unencumbered on debut in the Sharp Plate (1000m) in October, and displayed a keen turn of foot to claim a strong Randwick barrier trial in February. Having drawn the somewhat wide barrier 7 and confirmed to be partnered by jockey Tim Clark for the first time, Giuliani’s class may not be enough to secure 2014 Skyline Stakes success this weekend.

Mr Bogart ($21)

Confirmed to line up for his second career start in the 2014 Skyline Stakes, Anthony Cummings-trained Mr Bogart has been offered several key advantages for this weekend’s Group 2 that make highlight him as incredible value to punters at a quote of $21. While unable to match the late pace of his rivals in the Ritz Cinema Handicap (1200m) first-up on February 22nd, the exciting Northern Meteor colt will leave from the ideal barrier 1 this weekend, and will be joined by leading jockey Damien Oliver.
